[my mom]
Yeah, like I told you guys, Facebook is in no question the biggest [caca] ever!
So I did the intro for my blog yesterday, and my mom read it. Instead of leaving me a comment in the actual designated space for it on this blog, she preferred the wall post on my FB. For obvious reasons: Facebook!
Here her comment:
Yoly Pereira L to Hector A. Rodriguez: ¡Guapo!!
[if you didn't get it go buy a dictionary]
For the record, she's a greatest humanitarian (besides her whole science career, which I don't want to dig abt it), who has been a fighter for what is right and for what we as Puerto Ricans deserve in our nation, yes, NATION!
te amo Yoly! u will always be my eternal inspiration in life!

[weeks 1,2 and 3]
Week UNO: WOW! This is the true story of 14 strangers, staying in the same hotel, learning what a mobile tour is to start a new adventure all over the nation. The Real World.... [risas]. It was really intense, we had only one week to learn EVERYTHING about being on tour, represent this company and know what to do in numerous scenarios. Kudos to the agency, it was amazingly well organized, and so scheduled, almost perfect, and trust me I've been in trainings, but this one was "hella training". I guess this is when we all started to get to know each other and the weird thing is that we all click with each other instantly. There's obviously people that you wonder about them, but that's it. The office is located in a gorgeous area in Downtown Chi Town, and we stayed from Sunday March 23rd to that thursday...I have no clue what they was it [update needed here]. Then we went to the middle of nowhere, New Berlin, Wisconsin, population: 2,760 [bang!!!! gun shot] 2,759 [risas]. This part was basically learn the physical "stuff" about the job, manage the truck and trailer we will be using for the next nine months and the "event site" we will be setting up on each event. It was pretty hard, we had 4 days to learn everything really fast, which systematically, we did and damn! what a good truck driver I am! The fun aspect? we had a Wings restaurant/bar, where we [sighs] lived so many crazy moments, including a small accident I experienced the very last night [thanks 2 u!!!!! LOL] Lot of snow, rain, cold cold cold, ohh yeah, freezing! last day of training was that sunday, and it was probably one of the saddest moments I've experienced, I wanted to keep having great moments with all this kids I met, but we all had to part ways to our respectives zones. Leslie is the name of my partner, great girl from Florida who I'm having currently the best time ever.
Week DEUX: Ok, here is where all that info you literally swallowed! has to be applied. Not a big deal. The monday after, we started our drive from Wisconsin to Chicago to start what I was all this time expecting. At first we stayed at a near-the-airport hotel and then we moved to an extended stay one, which e are actually about to leave to go for a better one in the suburb of Woodfield, Illinois, 20 mins away from Downtown Chi Town. Which by the way I'm loving this places, so cute, easy going, people are sooooooo nice and definitely a very good vibe. We started doing what they call Guerrilla Marketing, which is basically go around the specific markets, with your devices [cell phones] promotional material, and talk to people about the great products and services...Events? we started that weekend with 2 club events. Which I happened to get sick with a very bad laryngitis, so I lost my voice for a few days. Not funny.
Week DREI: More Guerilla, nothing that exciting. Oh yeah, but beginning this weekend there are several events that I seriously can't wait to start blogging about. But I did one last Saturday, it was what I thought was a concert of this "rancheras" band called Patrulla 81. Uhum. Pretty interesting and colorful, cheerful, happiness. Being in this tyoe of cultural events watching so many peple enjoy their heritage and traditions, makes me miss sooooooo bad when my pops used to take me to the same type of events but a la boricua!! [i miss that a lot!] and WOW! how many big belts, cowboy hatsm tight jeans and boots that night! And I haven't even started with not so gorgeous ladies wearing tight almost glued to the skin fuccia mini skirts! aaaaand boots aaaaaand hats.....WTF? but the point is, they had fun, and I had a blast. Again, If I was a follower, I will definitely be there, dancing my [behind] off!
There's more to come, more concerts, soccer games, even film festivals, and of course, I'll have my dosis of words sprayed here...

I EFFIN' LOVE MUSIC. And no, I don't play any instrument [after failed attempts of learning guitar, saxophone and drums] the only one I know is the tuqui tuqui, [risas] I'll explain later what the heck is this. I will be posting some videos of my favorite music, the ones I love to listen with a six pack of Fat Tire or Red Wine. Here the first:

[who's this??????]
A blog. Almost everyone I know keep telling me, "why don't you open a blog to write about your traveling experiences?" and I'm like, well it's always on Facebook, so why I need to make a Shakespeare version about where I go? who I meet? what I eat? who I ..... meet? [risas]. Well, they convinced me. But first, let me give you a brief recap of who the hell is this stranger.
Hector Alejandro [mid name, which happens to be the one I like] Rodriguez [ro.dree.guess] ohh and my mom's last name, they call it maiden, Pereira [per.ay.ra] I was born in the tiny town of Humacao [hum.ah.cao] in the great island of Puerto Rico, of course, in August 21st 1979 [yeah, a frikin' Leo, don't worry, I'm a cool one]. My parents, very smart and the most beautiful people on earth, Yolanda and Hector. They had the nerves of having me and raising me all this time, which I'm not going to make a big fuss about it, this isn't an autobiography, so, I just want you guys to have a little bit of background. I have one gorgeous, intelligent and the funniest brother ever! his name is Victor and my dream will be one day write a sit com with him. I've never told him that. My parents decided to put me on a freaking Baptist Academy when I was in first grade, just because they didn't wanted me to be close to bad influence, riiiight. [it's joking mom! u guys did it right] what I never could understand is why they put me on this Baptisit joke and then raised me Catholic? not that they were devoted ones, I'll always say that they were the hippiest most liberal people alive, they just wanted us to have a good education in a great place, but going back to my concern, why the hell they raised us Catholics and then the school? It was certainly annoying and probably the reason why I don't go to any church [except for the chicken fast food! yum!] But I must admit, it was funny, and overall incredible my younger years. There are so many cute, shocking, weird, stories, those ones I'll put them on another source of information [maybe a book?]. I did my High School and college degrees [BBA in Business Administration/Management] or diplomas, I went to another private university to get my MBA in Advertising, which I completed but haven't finished my Thesis to finally graduate [well, I haven't started it yet!] not being laid back about it, is just that college degrees, at this point of my life, consider them completely pointless and useless. I've had jobs, good jobs, mediocre jobs, awesome jobs! none of them because of my degrees, trust me!. Ok, enough about me.
Travesias? Place(s)/roads were you go through, yeah, it means that I've been dreaming all my life on just travel the entire world and let me tell you, I haven't. [risas] But I've been around, and these are the locations I've been [visiting, living, going thorugh a love life, etc...] Spain, Portugal, Dominican Republic, US Virgin Islands, Mexico, and in the not-so-great U.S of A, NYC, Chicago, Orlando, Kissimmee, Houston, Austin, Washington DC, Maryland, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and my overall favorite, my home, the craziest stinkiest city in the whole wide world, Los Angeles!!!!!!! place I really call home, and where I expect to return after this travesia, which I'll write a little bit more in detail.
Recently, [a marketing agency I don't want to disclose] hired me for the coolest job ever [no, isn't stripper, that's the 12th coolest job ever] to represent [a big cell phone company] around the midwest area of the US. My home base will be Chicago, IL [which I'm hating the cold weather so bad!!!] and from here will have the experience to travel different states such as Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, and I think there's another one I'm missing, I'll update later. Happens that I will not be raveling thaaaaat much, so must of my tour [oh yeah, I forgot, we do a promotional tour around the cities mentioned] will be in Chicago. From here, I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I'm doing it. I found a new opportunity for my career which I never expected to do [and yet, I didn't needed the damn MBA!!!] I've met new people [amazing ones] and believe it or not, even love [BIG TIME LOL, because i'm not going to disclose anything about my loved one. The only thing I can say, I call him "Sweets" [ohh yeah, HIM, sorry guys! I forgot, I'm gay!] and he's who actually inspired me to type this words.
I hope you all enjoy it. I have probably the worst english ever and I might have non-sense words out there, but hey, I bet you I have better Spanish than all of you, that I'll never forget!
